Features

Schutte Park is one of our newest parks located on the West Side of Dover. Four lighted softball fields and the multipurpose fields, this park is a very popular place of the athletic types. Many camps and tournaments are held here throughout the year. As well, it is open for public use. Enjoy a picnic under the covered picnic pavilion while you watch your favorite team play.

General Directions:
From the Chesapeake Bay Bridge - US-301 N toward DOVER about 44 miles, Turn RIGHT onto MD-300 about 9 miles, Turn RIGHT onto DE-44/ EVERETTS CORNER RD. Continue to follow DE-44. 6.69 miles, DE-44 becomes DE-8. 4.88 miles. Turn right onto MIFFLIN ROAD (WAWA on the corner) – follow directly into Schutte Park.

From North or South on Rt. 13 – turn onto Rt. 8/Division Street heading west. Follow through several traffic lights and over the railroad tracks. At the stop lighted intersection of Saulsbury Road and Rt. 8 (you’ll see a Subway and Exxon gas station) turn left onto Saulsbury Road. At the next lighted intersection (Kraft will be across the street) – turn right onto Hazlettville Road. Follow until the stop light and turn left onto Electric Avenue and the entrance to Schutte Park.

From North or South on Rt. 1 – Exit at North Dover, Scarborough Road. Go straight, crossing over Rt. 13 and continue on Scarborough Road through 5 lights – the road will change into Saulsbury Road as you continue heading south. At the 5th light, the intersection of Hazlettville Road and Saulsbury Road. (Kraft will be across the street) – turn right onto Hazlettville Rd. Follow until the stop light and turn left onto Electric Ave. and the entrance to Schutte Park.
